Re: Valuing a website
I'd ask to see a revenue graph over the past year to see if revenue is declining or increasing on a monthly basis.
Also can US residents still be poker affiliates? |

Re: Valuing a website
I think it is usually common to value your site on the basis of some multiple of your profits/month. It seems to depend, but I'd think a reasonable valuation would be between 3 and 10 months of profits.
But, I'd be surprised if you got more than 6 months of profits since it's poker related and all. Also, as BradleyT mentions, it will probably depend on your traffic/revenue trends over the past few months of your operation. |

Re: Valuing a website
Degen,
A standard baseline for a website is about 10-12 months profit. If you have a more solid website (not affiliate or other Internet marketing) then it can be valued more like a real business for several years of revenue. How does the market outlook look for you website? Are you strongly affected by the recent changes? I'd probably list it on sitepoint or namepros for no less than $40-50k minimum. I think you can get quite a bit more than that for your business if you aren't affected by the legislation & changes. Is that revenue you have from recurring revenue streams or from new CPA signups? 6500 uniques isn't a bad number. Do you have a forum or articles (either site-written or user submitted)? Where are most of your expenses? Advertising (what types)? Hosting (hopefully that's not half your revenue)? |

Re: Valuing a website
This would be a tough sell to anyone in the states, so with that in mind I've got no idea. It's typically based on the income per some time period, but in this case how can anyone really know what that would be?

Re: Valuing a website
Just saying the title tag is a bit over the top in blackhat SEO technique. It's probably not enough to get the site removed from google on it's own though.
