PLO Beginner, KKxx flops superdry undercard board
I watched a couple of the cardrunners PLO/HA videos and got an itch to finally sit down and play this game for real. I've been running extremely well this session when this hand comes up:
Villain (SB) $70.45 BB $38.05 UTG $24.65 MP $72.40 Hero (CO) $135.35 BTN $49.25 Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG calls $.50, fold, Hero raises $1.75 to $2.25, BTN folds, SB calls $2, BB folds, UTG calls $1.75 Flop ($7.25) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB bets $4, UTG folds, Hero calls $4 Turn ($15.25) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB bets $7, Hero calls $7 River ($29.25) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB bets $16, Hero... FWIW, if villain is paying any attention, I should be viewed as playing loose and aggro, but not showing down crap. Off hand, the only hand I remember showing down is a set that filled up on the river that stacked some awful calling station. I think my turn call is bad (I think it's bad, period) here if I'm not calling river, but I have I think this guy has a set (full on the river). Should I just be folding this turn given his action? Or is this a standard call down? |

The only thing you beat on that river that might bluff is T2 or 34 and unless you have a read, that river half pot bet reeks of value.

With a hand like that, you really have to flop a set or a flush to continue onward with confidence.
I fold. |

Should I have folded on the turn? Or is calling flop, turn, folding river OK here?

Re: PLO Beginner, KKxx flops superdry undercard board
As played, river is definitely a fold, possibly turn as well.
That said, there are opponents that I'd routinely call down with naked AA. |

Re: PLO Beginner, KKxx flops superdry undercard board
Villain half potting every street reeks of weakness unless he's got some kind of monstrous set+straight draw.
I'd raise flop and not put in much more $$ after that if we get called and don't hit the turn. |
