OK, just checking. I'm running bad right now and needed confirmation.
Thanks, guys. |

Re: NL25 - KK overpair on the flop
Pushing here is stupid. It's better to just call here and see what villian does on the turn. It's likely an over will come and if villian still shows strength I'm dumping it. Other than jacks, queens, or AT villian has us beat. I couldn't disagree more with the advice to felt this. We're getting called by better hands and worse hands will fold this almost always.

Re: NL25 - KK overpair on the flop
You think villain is folding QQ or AT with nearly 50% of his stack already in the middle? Not to mention the pair plus straight draw hands to which he's now committed.

Calling is better and I do think vilian is pushing with QQ or AT. Read my post

Moreover, by calling and then "seeing what villain does on the turn," we're basically handing money to various drawing hands he could be holding; he can fire another bullet on the turn and make us fold (since we're so certain that he holds a set, straight, or two pair), or he can check behind and take a free card. |

Re: NL25 - KK overpair on the flop
You keep talking about draws...even though this is about the least drawiest board one with an overpair could hope for. That's the ONLY reason I suggest calling. If this board is scarier I'm pushing here, too. You need to do a better job in evaluating the board texture IMO. Check raises like this are almost always very strong hands...like sets.

Uh, it's not a checkraise? And if you don't think villain could very easily have T9 here, I don't know what to tell you.
