Re: Do you call ?? $4 180 man SNG
I fold. He limped in, to open, so he is saying he thinks he has something. No reason to believe he couldn't have paired the Q.

Re: Do you call ?? $4 180 man SNG
this board is pretty damn dry. He could be doing this with like 77 or something, but this kind of aggression is probably like QJ

t1200 in the pot when it gets to you, seems like a pretty standard push to me.

I would call. Looks like a classic stop and go to me.

Re: Do you call ?? $4 180 man SNG
i would call to, although in 4s it can just as well be a queen not thinking ur gonna get committed if he checks. But i always call anyways, u got atleats 50% chance its something your ahead of.

Re: Do you call ?? $4 180 man SNG
I came to the same conclusion. However, my understanding of the proper use of the stop and go is still far from prefect so maybe you can check my ranges for villain.
Villain's limp range: 77+,AJs+,AQo,KQs I think that villain would shove over Hero's raise with 99+, AKo and AKs. That leaves villain's limp/call range at 88-77, AQs, AQo, AJs and KQs and I think that villain shoves any flop with this range. If my ranges are accurate ( boy is that a big if ) then Hero is about 48% against villain's range. Thoughts ?? |

Re: Do you call ?? $4 180 man SNG
Geez, these hands kill me.
So the first question is why would villain take this line?? 1. Stop and Go 2. Has AK and wants to make Hero fold 3. Bluff, same as (1) and wants to make Hero fold 4. Has Q any kicker, wants to make hero fold 5. Has the best hand and thinks Hero will call with lesser hand. Villian accumulated > 4000 in chips somehow, maybe lucky, maybe skill. Villain limped from early position and then called your raise. I think when you raised villain decided to stop and go. If villain would have pushed pre flop you would have called. Now you have a chance to see the flop and the 1010 doesn't give the great feeling it did pre flop. The stop and go worked to perfection for villain. Anyway, long winded... but.... I CALL and if I lose I curse myself and start push botting. fwiw ~loose |
