Re: I love to call overbets NL$100
You're trying to catch bluffs with this hand a lot of the time, so if CO is one to float flops or bluff at somewhat coordinated boards, then you could justify a call.

Re: I love to call overbets NL$100
Yeah this is the type of situation I get myself into. Though I could prolly fold that hand. For some reason I find overbets signal the "he's bluffing" reaction out of me when at least some of the time they should be getting the "he is a fish trying to win a big pot" reaction.

Re: I love to call overbets NL$100
Maybe I am a weak player, but I fold the river.
You showed weakness on the Turn and why risk it on the river with that board,,,flush, straight, trips, full houe,etc...... It sure looks like the T helped him, or he wanted to c-raise the turn. If I have the nuts here I am betting the pot in hopes that you put me all in. If you do anything here besides fold, you put him all in, but that is only like $7 more. Also you need more of a read on this guy. Why is he the short stack? Did he buy in short, did he take a bad beat, is he loose??? Even so, I think he outplayed you with that bet. Fold, then get up and move to his left. |

I love betting QQ like this because people assume you are bluffing. |

Re: I love to call overbets NL$100
I'm not calling the river bet as a standard line on a draw-heavy board like this, but I'm playing this line against guys who I know for floating cbets on the flop to steal it later. The flush/stright scare makes me that much more hesitant to call unless I've really pegged this guy as a very frequent bluffer.
The hands most likely to beat you when you call are 9Ts through 9As, or any 9T; you're less likely to see a 5 due to the weak play you've seen on the flop and turn. In general, I'm folding this one. |
