Airtran X-Fares
I'm about to fly X-fares for the first time, and I have to admit I'm a little nervous. It just sounds too easy to be true. I'm looking for any tips or experiences that I should watch out for. Have you ever gotten hassled trying to get on a flight for any reason? Do they actually measure your carry on item to make sure it's under 55 total inches? How soon should I get there before my flight (currently planning on 2 hours prior)?
Any suggestions would be great. I'm leaving in about one hour. |

Re: Airtran X-Fares
One thing to remember is that when you fly standby you only get a one way ticket. This might be OK if you don't have to be home a certain day.
Personally I would pay the extra money for the guarantee. Of course I can fly Southwest to a lot of destinations cheaper than the XFares price. But you might not have Southwest from your city. |
