I have a sister 12 years younger than me, and there are moments where she very much reminds me of myself. Sometimes this is a good thing: she excels in school, loves to read, etc. in the same way that I did. But
most of the time I'm concerned. It feels like the family resemblance is much more of a curse, and I'm afraid that in the future she's going to face the awful depression and insecurity that has caused problems for my dad and me. The line "I still never told you about unstoppable sorrow" just preys on my worst fears in the world.
