Pete, I play a lot multi-table HU with the same opponents too, and while I find myself making exactly the same kind of play that you made here in this hand, I have started to identify it as a leak in my game. The leak, being, that as you have probably seen, even though we try to convince ourselves that there is fold equity in that push, it is realistically very slim and what generally winds up happening in that spot is you either push into AAxx drawing slim, push into the coin-flip wrap draw (which I prefer not to do, don't know about yourself) or push into a 2pr, set, etc on the flop (since HU the range for 3 and 4betting preflop is so wide). I have been trying to stop check-raising overs with top pair on 4bet pots preflop... I'm not necessarily advocating the same, because HU it will oftentimes be the right statistical push, but it is definitely a bad habit to get into when the table becomes full and you haven't completely readjusted your mindset.
