I never said parents should purposely make things hard. I'll certainly support my kids thru college. But if they drop out and become hopeless whining losers like the OP, they're on their own.

I think this is a reasonable post, and I'd tend to agree. IMO, op definitely screwed himself by dropping out of college then going busto. At that point his parents must have started thinking "ok, you want to drop out and be a man? The gravy train is over, now get a job you crumb bum." His parents were supporting him, he said he didn't want their help anymore, then came crawling back. I can see why they're acting the way they are
