Or you can buy new and sell on Amazon/Ebay when you tire of a game. If you wanted to sell Halo 3 now, you can get about $50 for it. Meaning you spent about $10 for a 3 week rental (if you bought it on release day).

A 6 week rental at Blockbuster is about 10 bucks.
