Can anyone give a serious response with - if not guidelines based on limits or style of play - their own personal Bankroll/BI ratio?

I jumped in to 1/2 w/ 45 BI's and after running 4.5BI under expectation (and -4BI actual) after 3k hands I'm feeling insecure.
