Sorry about that. I've been mugged, so I know how traumatic it can be being the victim of a crime. If you have problems sleeping or have nightmares or lingering anger about this, get counseling. As to renter's insurance, I'm not sure how that works, but you may not be able to get it now, or else it will be more expensive (obviously).
