Default Re: How many people will make more than $250,000 this year playing pok

One more thing I'll mention.

You guys seem to think donkament winners all of a sudden win regularily? I wouldn't doubt if half the players who manage to cash donate it more about half the winnings back if not all.

I guess I misinteprated the question. I thought it was saying how many players consitantly win year in and year out 250,000+ ...

Sure you have the players who win donkaments, but they eventually gambooool it back or invest.. Doesn't mean they win that much yearly.

I think this is a good point when describing the WSOP winners or whatnot that luck into a huge payout. I'm sure some of them end up donating it back. But probably not a huge percent. 250k is a lot of money -- I don't know how many winning players are going to luck into 250k while being mediocre players overall. (Also note that while some crappy players may make more than 250k, some great players with bad luck will make less.)

Also, with online play being what it is, I think a lot of the 250k folks are there not because they're getting lucky at 25/50NL but because they're multitabling 20/40 limit or 5/10NL. Variance is going to play less of a role for these players; if they make 250k in one year, it's unlikely they'll make much less than that in any other.
