I lived thru it all. I was 21 when he resigned.
His performances reminds me of Bush I and his "Read my Lips! No New Taxes !!" campaign when he ran for prez after serving 8 years as vp.
You would think, having 8 yrs experience as v.p., that he would know if it were possible to keep his promise. He certainly fooled me and the majority of Americans into believing he was telling the truth.
His punk ass son didn't fool me though.
