I think this is a brag. You'll get a splint for that finger and will perpetually be flipping off the world. I broke my ring finger as a kid, and remember being pissed I couldn't just have broken one finger over.
The beat of course is playing volleyball. Unless it was with chicks in those tight little volleyball shorts.
