looking at my cords and comparing them to the wiki page (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dvi)...
it looks like the monitor cord is a dvi-d dual link while the adapter is a dvi-i dual link, but they fit together fine. i think the card supports dvi, but not dual link perhaps?
