Default Re: Poker In Colorado?

The closest thing I've heard, is a rumor (and it's just a rumor) that the Colorado Legislature MIGHT raise the Min bet to 100 bucks, due to the fact that all casinos are slated to go no smoking as of Jan 1st, 2008.

If it does, it might open the doorway to allow for a simular law as Florida currently has, with a 100 buck buy in for poker, and allow for N/L to take place.

However, it's just a rumor cirulating among the casino table dealers (not the poker ones, but the ones that staff the table games the casino runs), and I've yet to hear or see anything in the news about such a move to up the max bet.

FYI, from what I understand, they've not increased the max bet (which is 5 bucks) in Colorado since they first opened up casinos over 15 years ago.

While 100 bucks might be considered too high for a max bet, one would think that just based on inflation, they should raise the max bet allowed upwards, but they have not as of yet.
