The guy paid me ~35k last year no problems at all. I went with him because my friend who is a consistent loser with him referred me to him, and he offered me +100 teasers and all ties push. Not having to put $$$ up front was of use also. Recourse is about what you'd think it is, depending on how interested you are in getting your $$$ back.
