Default Re: Ask me about being a FIFA-certified soccer referee

What is the biggest game you have ever reffed?

Probably the 2005 Dallas Cup U-19 Semifinal between Santos Laguno of Mexico and Hartlepool United U-19s of England, won by Santos Laguno, 3-0, after I was forced to send off a Hartlepool player in the 9th minute for a brutal, studs-up tackle. The Dallas Cup is one of the world's biggest youth tournaments. I was fourth referee for the final of that same tournament, which was won by the Brazilian side Atletico Paranaense. As I mentioned in my previous response, I also occasionally work A-League matches, which is the professional level just below MLS, the equivalent of AAA-level in baseball. Mostly, though, I work NCAA Division I matches in upstate New York and New Jersey, and fill in for NJCAA matches if they need the help. I recuse myself from Cornell games since I'm an alumnus, so I frequently end up working Syracuse, Canisius, SUNY-Buffalo/Binghamton/Albany, Hartwick (they're D-I in soccer), etc.
