I think this problem largely comes from thinking something like, "I had the best hand preflop, how could he be beating me now?" Because when I tilt and spew, it goes something like that.

One answer I use is to almost never say, "I'm way ahead," when you haven't even seen a flop. You have QQ. Good, play that hard, but be very cognizant that hand values are fluid. Once you see an A-high flop, don't think "I have QQ," think, "I have second pair."

Second pair isn't a hand you want to go to war with, right? So don't! And it's easy to see that you shouldn't when you're honest about where your hand stands.
