This is a kill pot. Posting the kill is not an option, it is mandatory. It is a pretty standard rule that you cannot straddle on a kill pot. I don't know a good reason why you can't straddle the kill, but I have never seen it allowed.

I saw it allowed in one room. It was in Palace Station and I have no idea if they still allow it.
