Suppose you have 1 out.

Equity running once = 1/45 + (44/45)(1/44) = 1/45 + 1/45 = 2/45

Equity running twice = .5 * [1/45 + 44/45(1/44)] + .5 * [(2/45)(0) + 43/45(1/43) + 42/45(1/42)] = 2/45

its the same... the common mistake you are making is just that you need to offset all later cards by the probability that you didnt win until then.
