ill take this bet. remember when ou got shelled and missed their conf title and still went to the nat title and, surprise, got shelled again.

And Nebraska. At least there's precedent for missing your conference championship game altogether and still going to the Big Game.

Personally, I think that in the current system you should have to be a conference champ to play in the national championship game; however, having a true playoff system is much higher on my priority list than this rule, and if getting UGA into the game helps create enough fan outrage to move things closer to a playoff, than that's what I'm pulling for.
