It looks good if it plays out this way; but it probably won't. As an SEC fan I won't pity KU too much if they win out and don't play for it all as Auburn went undefeated in 04 and got shafted by a pretender OU.

Not really the same thing. Auburn was one of three major UNDEFEATED teams, while right now KU trails two teams with one loss. If they were to run the table and not get in over someone like LSU or Oregon, it would be a much greater travesty than Auburn being the odd team out (although that sucked also!).
