yeah, pickups are huge outside and small inside, look ugly and need tons of gas.
only reason i can see is if you need to be able to quickly shove your very big stuff on the load area and it doesn't matter if it gets wet. for example a gardener who has to transport big plants in pots.
but there really can't be as many gardeners in the US and A as there are pickups.
i guess we non-americans will never understand this.

Isn't it an extend cab and i think most tacoma's get decent gas mileage. I may be wrong on this and i don't feel like checking.
