Just got off the phone with my girlfriend. I knew that her neighbor who was a close friend of the family had recently died and her family was going to put the house up for sale. My girlfriend's mom didn't like the people who were going to buy the house, so her parents put up the money to pay for it themselves. Her parents don't need the house, so they are giving it to my girlfriend for half cost. We've been looking to buy a house together for about a year, and now we're getting one.
