exposing your hand in a cash game is different than exposing your hole cards in a tourney. It is bad manners to expose your hand or just show one hole card in a cash game but not against the rules in most casinos.
This appears to be a STFU when not in the hand situation. Threats that the floor didn't hear and dealer doesn't confirm carry less weight and probably a 5 minute break is appropriate. I am suprised he didn't just warn the villian not to threaten the other players.
Bottom line, you called the floor and started a problem when you weren't involved in the hand and the move wasn't illegal in most casinos any way.
I think you should go tell the floor person that you have learned he handled the situation properly and appologize for being a dick.
