Just reread the rules, and I'm impossibly geeked, but quick question as to how the initial draft works?

The initial draft had salary slots for each pick, and a separate rookie draft that reverse snaked the regular draft. The existing league commish and I are discussing our thoughts on how that worked (pretty well) and if there are better ways. I suspect we'll do something very similar if not identical.
