Default Re: 30k VPP to Supernova

A,

I'll try to answer your question. Is it worth it to try to amass 30K points before the year is up?

It depends. How much are you planning on playing during the first 5 months of next year? You keep your SN for a full 5 months, the extra multiplier is worth about $1,000 - $1,500 if you can get up to 100K VPP's by the end of May next year.

The free rolls are probably worth $25-50 bucks a week, nothing to sneeze at the lower level.
Being able to purchase $1500 bonus certificates for 100K fpps versus $625 for 50K fpps, are worth about 500 hundred dollars for now.

If you can not keep 10K per month next year then you will loose your SN status by the end of Feb, and its probably not worth killing yourself now.

To get the 30K by the end of the year with 51 days left. Figure you only have 42 days you will actually play poker factoring in for some time off and the holidays. That is over 700 VPP's per day you will need for each day of poker.

At 25 NL its about 5100 hands per day.
At 50 NL its about 3000 hands per day.
At 100NL its about 1800 hands per day.

5100 hands per day is very difficult, if you have school / work, even with 24 tables. It probably makes your $2500 premium worth less than $10 buck per hour, as it will take 250-300 hours to attain. I hope you can do better than break even poker if you take this route.
YMMV

Good luck

Dennisa

Hope this helps.
