No, I'm not being facetious or otherwise disingenuous. I really have a hard time considering that a sport.

It's more of a sport than many things that ESPN shows. You'd actually be surprised at how tiring a posing routine can actually be. They are flexed for an abnormal length of time.
And, of course, the training is incredibly intense.
As I mentioned earlier, pretty much every elite body builder uses steroids. It's not mentioned a lot. The major competitions don't test for steroids. And there's even a separate category for "natural" bodybuilders (because "natural" ones can't compete against the roid monsters.)
So I'd says it's a lot more than the NFL, because even in the NFL, there are probably some positions that don't benefit from steroids.
