There's a difference between spamming multiple forums (with posts like LOOK AT THIS AWESOME NEW SOFTWARE!!!1 = instant permaban) and including with your post in one forum a link to a blog site with more writing (2-day ban). So the umbrella of "spamming" is pretty large here.
