Hellmuth's book is underrated IMHO. It has very useful information on non-holdem games (especially Razz), and his "animal types" are a pretty useful way of framing the whole topic of profiling opponents.

I also don't think the first Phil Gordon book is bad. it's just intended for real beginners. It is intended to teach people about poker, not how to play poker.

I don't see why you would get rid of either book unless space is an issue. I've read a couple poker books that are much worse than both.
