Default Re: Short Handed NL - Killer Poker

[ QUOTE ]
Fairly light, mainly words with few examples. Focusing more on the psychological aspects.

It takes the view that every opponent has a code that you need to break. With fair bit on opponent modelling and how to adjust to various profiles. Worth a read although better players might not get much out of it.

I have not read it though I have read other books by Vorhaus. He writes well but I have gotten tired of al his stylistic flourishes and by now I know my own mind and the mind of my opponents. All that leaves is the theoretical value of his strategic insights, these are few though importantly I think he has added not in a comprehensive manner a la Sklansky and Malmuth to the body of poker theory but in a piecemeal fashion. If anything the 'one good idea' theory should allow most to purchase this but No Limit Hold'em is not my (cash) game so I am leaving it be.
