If you KNEW he had a set you are like a 2-1 dog getting almost 3-1 on your call. But, you don't know for sure, so why not call.

I would not play this draw like this because someone with the nut flush draw could play it this way and that is the hand you fear most with at most 9 outs against it.

Sometimes play the combo draw like this and sometimes just call the flop. It is not an always situation and depends on your fold equity for reraising, and also it depends on the likelihood whether you are going to have to call an allin reraise.
