I think it's pretty bad. If you're going to call a pot bet on the turn anyway you should definitely lead out instead so you get a clearer picture of where you're at.
The way it played out I would dump turn. You're committing yourself to pay $40 here to see if he has the flush or if he's bluffing. There are better spots imo
