The problem is that this type of player is probably shoving the river with either A) the nuts and B) a complete bluff
I don't think he's going to check the river after mini checkraisng the turn and if he is bluffing he will want to push you off your hand and do that he's pushing this river with or without the nuts.
I think you need to make a decision on the turn to either fold or push.
