Since hero holds the king of hearts, there are only two or three hand obvious combinations that have the heart draw. If OP had a reason to think that villain might be three-betting a wider range then raising the flop for protection is fine. If villain is on a tighter range, though, we need to tread more cautiously or we have the potential to get all of our money in way behind. I wouldn't just look at villain's stats and assume that he's three-betting without a premium hand.
