Re: Fire Jack Effel Now!!!!

I love it when people say "Jack McClellan could run a tournament better than Jack Effel, or anyone else for that matter."
Jack McClelland, to my knowledge, has never run a tournament with 3,000 people in it. He never had 8,000 people converge to a single 6-window cage in a 12-hour period. Just exactly how would Jack handle these items is a mystery for sure.

The key is he would be able to get all (or as many as was needed) of the best people working for him. Like I mentioned above when Jimmy took over the WPO in 2004 (?) his biggest handicap of not being McClellan was not having himself working for him.
I know Jack Effel, but from passing him and playing in his room occasionally. He seems competent, but as a floorman working in a midsized room. I have not been out to the WSOP this year, but I am guessing his biggest weakness is not being able to surround himself with people that are good at their job.
