Actually it was worse than this. A friend of mine was one table away and called me over when the drama happened, so I only saw the aftermath.
She sat for only about one hand of 5/10 HORSE, and then got up to lock up a seat at a 10/25 NL game. She came racing back moments later because she was missing a 5k brick. She actually came to his table first thinking it had been hers, and asked if he'd seen a stack of hundreds. Apparently some guy (supposedly a regular) got up right after she did, and there was talk about whether he may have walked off with it. I guess they called the state police and were checking cameras. No idea if it was ever resolved.
I told my friend to post a thread entitled "Vanessa Rousso Lost 5k in One Hand at a 5/10 Limit Game," but I guess he didn't bother.
