"O'Neill has ridiculed those who wish to take action to reduce carbon emissions in order to tackle global warming."

Says it all.

And what exactly does that say? How about a translation.

translation: O'Neill thinks SCIENCE = BAD, which means he's probably retarded

How much global warming is occurring and how much is being caused by man as opposed to the earth's natural climate cycles is an open debate.

Even then, the economics of reducing carbon emissions are questionable. It may cost tens or hundreds of billions to significantly reduce carbon emissions, and we don't really have a good idea of what effect that will have, if any. Is it worth taking a hit to GDP so we can reduce carbon by 5% in the atmosphere? No one knows, but the avid carbon-reduction crowd doesn't care.

Just because we can do something doesn't mean it's a good idea. /end politics rant
