[ QUOTE ]
For the last year or two whenever I get an old 100 dollar bill I keep it separate and have been just putting them in my safety deposit box. I have something like 40 of them and my girlfriend thinks I'm a moron and should either invest them or do something with them as 'just holding them doesn't do anything.'

I agree with her to an extent and think maybe I should do something...but they're just so sexy looking which makes me want to just hold onto them.

BBV, what should I do?

Instead of having a feeling or thinking they're sexy, research whether old hundreds are appreciating at a faster rate than CDs or mutual funds (if you can tolerate some risk). My bet is that traditional investment vehicles will make your $4,000 appreciate much faster than old hundreds as collector items.
