I have large numbers of friends who have literally zero interest in sports. They tolerate me watching a game as long as I keep the volume off. The only time I've ever gotten them to actually watch sports with me and genuinely care was when the curling world championships were on. Somehow we all had a ton of fun watching that. It really is an interesting game.
