Just calling his 3-bet doesn't give you the information you need to play well after the flop. You have no idea whether you're way ahead or way behind. QQ is too good a hand just to play for set value unless you're up against someone raising 3% of hands.

A lot of people will call a 4-bet with KK+ knowing that the 3-bettor will fold a good deal of the time, so I don't necessarily agree with your reasoning that if he calls I will be good on that flop.

I'm also uneasy committing 1/3 of my stack to a 4-bet and then folding it. His (limited) stats made me uneasy 4-betting.
