Do you read for pleasure, and if so what are your favorite books/authors?

I used to be a huge bookworm, but oddly enough I don't seem to have as much time available for reading for fun anymore. Hmmmmmm, can't think why.....

I'm a huge Stephen King fan for my popcorn books. Love his development of characters. Also love that he's one of few authors really pushing to keep the short story alive.

I've read most of the classics; the [censored] that appears on college reading lists.

The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books - also amazing for basically any pop essay test ever. I'm a Brave New World fan over 1984 (I feel that Orwell said everything he said in 1984 in Animal Farm, but better). But We leaves them both in the dust.

Dostoevsky > Tolstoy but both good. I like Virginia Woolf, but not so much in particular Mrs. Dalloway. A Room of One's Own is a fabulous piece of work and I think it should be read by all women.

Hemingway is the man.

Really - I've read so much it's better to ask me about specific books and authors. I'm behind on recent works of course, and may not remember some details, though as it's been a while since I've read anything other than a textbook.
