I guessed at the time that if he had A-K he would likely just call my lame 1/2 pot lead, and if he had K-K, A-A, or T-T he would definitely raise it. Either way I get a little more information about where I'm at.
If the two options for a different flop action are bet pot (instead of 1/2) or c/c his inevitable cbet, would you prefer check-calling? i don't feel like i get any new information about his hand with the c/c line, although it is a less expensive one than leading out. is there a benefit to checking the flop that i'm missing?
