I'll leave the strategy out of this hand as I feel the hand was not played optimally, however, it is a players responsibility to table his hand and it takes two cards to win. This is entirely his issue and he has nobody to blame but himself. I'm not even sure this could slide if he was a fat tipper but it would be close.
