Default A move I make at 50NL, will it be transparent at higher levels?

Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">BB bets $2.5</font>, Hero calls $2.5

<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $6</font>, <font color="#777777">1 fold</font>

When I suspect a bluff coming from someone IP (which is very often in a BvB situation, on a raggedy board), I often check-call/lead turn (of course this is a good scare card, but sometimes I'll lead on anything).

This gets them to fold quite a bit, but I worry that to thinking players at 100NL+ this move is going to be obvious.

Does this line make sense for anything except a bluff?
