Sucking it up and owning up to what you did is the right play here. Take it from someone who put up a .08 on the breathalyzer himself.
It's important to pull the positive out of this situation. It's a cheap lesson...learn it.
BTW, prepare for a whole slew of preachy uppity folks who will be all BAAAHHHHHHH...DUI = 666!!!!! U R A WASTE ON SOCIETY. NO DRIVING 24 HOURS AFTER YOUR LAST BEER. Be honest with yourself and internalize what you need to from these people.
