Some totals I've been analyzing...
Eagles/Redskins U38.0
Eagles have hit 38 total 3/8 times, against the Lions/Cowboys/Vikings. Redskins have hit 4/8 times, against Giants/Cardinals/Pats/Jets. The only perplexing team in that group is the Vikings. Every other team either puts up points, or gives up points. The Eagles and Skins really do neither. Maybe Philly's highly rated offense (DVOA-wise) will start scoring some points, but for teams that see many high-scoring games, 38 is too much.
Titans/Jaguars O35
The lowest total of the week. Why doesn't this make sense? The Jags have a positive DVOA in both offense and defense, including a weak rush defense, which just so happens to be Tennessee's offensive strength. The Tenn/Car line wasn't this low last week, nor was the Tenn/Oak line, and both those teams have far weaker offenses than Jax, and surprisingly similar defenses. David Garrard is back, and I expect this game to be much different than the 13-10 game from Week 1.
