Checking flop is okay but I'd just call a bet, don't see much value in a CR. Betting flop is standard.

I think I agree that this is the best play..Definitely should have called the turn getting 5:1..I think in the back of my head I was telling myself that I was going to fold to his river shove so I avoided it all together and ended up playing the hand rather weakly
